With seven games to go, and leaders, Chelsea, leading surprise title contender, Arsenal, with seven point and a game at hand, critics would be looking for more upset as the game comes in thick, few weeks nobody would have seen or predicted arsenal being second.
It was always going to be Manchester city or Chelsea, if they, Chelsea, had a decline in their form. But it is not so now, Arsenal is second and Manchester united is in third place.
Manchester city, who many have predicted would give Chelsea a run for their money, are fourth on the table and also with a point back, although things could change and there could be an increase for either side come Sunday afternoon, and if it does... not only would it spell the end of Manuel Pellegrini's stay in charge of Manchester city, but Manchester united, going against all odds not only to finish above their noisy neighbors but with four point, that is if they win on Sunday, and maybe even more come the end of the season, which is going to be embarrassing for Manchester City not only for the owners but for the fans as well, after all the money spent this season yet could not win a trophy or finish in a high position in the league.
With the way Manchester city are playing, if not careful may fall into the Europa league position, out of the champions league spot, or even crash out of all European spots in the league as they are poor in form with only two wins in their last five games, claiming six-point from a possible 15.
Manchester city know they have to beat Manchester united in other to put pressure on Chelsea or if possible catch them, cause anything short than a win in their Sunday derby clash is game-over, but in football it is not over until it is over, and as for Chelsea playing badly and getting results if it continues and they win the league nobody will look at those but if they loose the number one spot then the special one Jose Mourinho would be in for some heavy criticism but even worse if Arsene Wenger steals the crown from him.
Arsene Wenger deserves the plaudits even if they don't win the league, by turning their bad season into a glorious finish. Dear readers seven games to go and the league is getting interesting nobody is safe at this moment this is what English football is all about, there is no league like the Barclays Premier League.
